E-Waste & Shred Day

Join Us for E-Waste & Shred Day at Canada Life Place on Sunday, November 9th

 

The OVG venue management team at Canada Life Place is proud to partner with Waste Connections of Canada to host a FREE Electronic Recycling event on Sunday, November 9th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm which will give Londoners the opportunity to safely dispose of old electronic devices that they may have in their homes or offices. Parking and drop off for the event will be available in the parking lot off King St (Lot 8).

 

In addition to providing the bins for recycling old electronics, Waste Connections of Canada will also have a shred truck available so that confidential documents can be shredded on site conveniently and worry free.

 

"We're excited to once again host this important community event, providing a safe and environmentally friendly way for people to recycle old cell phones, computers, and other electronics. It's a great opportunity to declutter and make a positive impact on the environment" said Kelly Austin, General Manager of Canada Life Place.

 

All electronics will be accepted but please refrain from bringing any major appliances such as fridges, stoves, washers, dryers, and freezers as they will not be taken. All metal and plastic items such as paper clips, staples, and binders must be removed for items to be shredded. We ask that you please sort and prepare all items for disposal ahead of your arrival.

 

Waste Connections Annual Holiday Bike Build is a cherished tradition that began in 2001 with just 16 bikes and has grown into a nationwide effort, delivering over 95,000 bicycles to children in need across North America. Every December, employees, families, and vendor partners come together to build bikes and spread holiday cheer in their communities.

 

This year, Waste Connections is inviting you to be part of the joy! They will be collecting donations to support their local bike build, helping them purchase bikes and helmets for kids who could use a little extra magic this season. Every contribution makes a difference—thank you for helping give back!
